The watch’s 43-mm case is made of black, satin-brushed titanium and has a unidirectional, ratcheted rotating bezel with four rider tabs at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for easy gripping. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet) and features a screw-locked crown flanked by protective reinforcements. The sapphire crystal over the dial is glareproofed on both sides, while the dial itself — in a deep azure hue that Breitling calls “Marine blue” — strives for optimal legibility with its large, squared Arabic numerals and luminescent coating on the numerals and hands.

The Chronospace Evo Night Mission is powered by an in-house movement, Breitling’s thermocompensated “SuperQuartz” Caliber 73, which is, according to the brand, 10 times more accurate than a standard quartz caliber. Its notable functions include a 1/10-second chronograph with a split-seconds feature that uses an additional central chronograph hand to measure intermediate intervals; and a fast time-zone adjustment mechanism that ensures uninterrupted precision of the minutes and seconds displays. The date appears in a window at 4:30. The movement, like all Breitling movements whether quartz or mechanical, has been chronometer-certified by the Swiss testing agency COSC. The watch is mounted on a black rubber “Diver Pro” strap with an embossed Breitling signature. It is priced at $4,550.
